Dr. Stephen Montoya

Dr. Montoya was born, bred, raised, and educated in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  He is bi-cultural, being a Hispanic American and bilingual in Spanish and English.  He holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of New Mexico, from which he also received his Medical Doctor degree.  Dr. Montoya has been in Las Vegas, Nevada since 1984 after residing in OBGYN done in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He is board certified in OBGYN and in Gynecological Endoscopy.  For the last 27 years he has promoted minimally invasive gynecology.  He supports the highest standards of care for all patients, as evidenced by membership in the National Perinatal Risk Reduction Committee of the Hospital Corporation Of America, The Nevada State Board Of Medical Examiners (2001-2005, President 2004-2005), Chief Of Service of several Las Vegas community hospitals, and Las Vegas Residency Director for OBGYN in affiliation with White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.  He is also the director for Nellis AFP Family Practice residency during the resident’s rotation in obstetrics at Sunrise Hospital. 

 In the community he was a middle school track coach for six years (four city championships) and a girl’s softball fitness coach for four years.  He and his wife Linda supported the charity “Chefs For Kids” for almost 20 years.  He enjoys gardening, running, and decorating for the holidays.  He has three children and two grandchildren.  Dr. Montoya believes his professional task is to try and relive some of the misery in this world.
