Tina Phyfer dedicates herself to quality care by using her head – and her heart.
She brings more than 20 years of direct patient care to her patients, as well as the knowledge that comes along with earning dual degrees in Advance Practice Nursing at UCLA-Harbor and a BS in Healthcare Administration from UNLV.
As for heart, Tina’s role as a NICU nurse for ten years gave her a sense of kindness and expertise that saved tiny lives every single day. She carried this love of giving and caring to The Shade Tree Shelter, a facility that provides safe shelter to homeless and abused women and children in crisis, where she has been a longtime volunteer and Board Member. And most recently, Tina was part of a medical team that assisted residents of Haiti immediately following the devastating earthquake of January 12, 2010.
In her free time, Tina is an avid freelance photographer, an amateur chef and enjoys traveling the world for pleasure as well as to help those in need on varied continents.
At Women’s Specialty Care, Tina’s dual roles as Practice Administrator and Nurse Practitioner give her a unique perspective on the entire patient experience –an experience that she helps shape both emotionally and intellectually.
